Update of sorts

Shameful! I am SO behind!! Let's see-major events only to hopefully get everyone sort of caught up! Dillon is huge now! He's about 23 lbs and probably around 34 inches (guessing) tall. He has 11 teeth as of today. He has several words-including his newest: "ditta" (guitar).
Mother's Day and my birthday:

Lisa (aka Aunt Lala, my sister) and I entered paintings in an open show at our local art museum:

Aunt Lala/Lisa came for a visit (and her little dog, too!):

We went on vacation to Washington state in July:

We went to the tri-state fair (a tradition) AND I won 2nd place with my painting and Autumn got honorable mention with hers!

Dillon turned one year old!

The day before Dillon's first birthday, a wonderful man left this world for the Next. My grandfather, Martin McConley Clancy passed away October 03, 2009. He will be sorely missed.

Halloween came:

Autumn was Princess Jasmine:

And Dillon was a Panda Bear:

Autumn turned EIGHT!

Shortly after Dillon's first birthday, he started walking on his own! This is an early picture of him walking on Thanksgiving:

I didn't get any other good pictures of Thanksgiving!
Autumn was Clara in her school play version of the Nutcracker! Complete with a solo!

We took our usual trip to the museum around Christmas (and saw Santa):

Of course there was Christmas itself (and Dillon was again sick this year-though not quite as badly):

January 8, 2010, Dillon and Autumn's great-grandfather, Shane's grandfather, FB Logan passed away. We will miss him.

Ok that gets us pretty much caught up! PHEW! I'll try not to do that again! I'm in school as well as working and Dillon is into EVERYTHING these days so not a lot of time for blogging!

Six Months!!

My baby is now half a year old! (Well, technically he's been half a year old for almost a month now but I'm a slacker and just now got to posting about it!) We threw him a little half-birthday party complete with a little cake square and party hats.
Dillon had his six month check up last week and he is 27.75 inches long (95%), 20 lb, 2.3 oz (90%-down a bit because he was sick and puking last week), and his head was like 17 cm or in however they measure it ha! (but it was still around 50%). He is still our big boy!
He can now sit up by himself.
He eats one "solid" meal per day. He has tried rice cereal, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, and peas! He will be trying zucchini in the next few days. Here he is not so much enjoying peas but trying to feed them to himself!
He has lots of new clothes that are too cute because he is now wearing 9-12 months or 12 months clothes!
He loves going for walks in his stroller like a big boy (instead of like a baby in his carrier in the stroller)!
We took his first visit to the park recently (on Good Friday). He wasn't sure what to think!

And Dillon had his very first Easter!
(He loves the book the Easter Bunny brought him!)
We're still head over heels in love with this boy! Sorry I haven't posted in a while...unfortunately, this may get to be the trend rather than the exception since Dillon requires more and more of my attention as he gets more and more mobile (he can roll ANYWHERE now! and he's working hard on crawling!).

Mama

Dillon said his first word on April Fool's day of all days! And it was.....Mama!! My mom caught some babbling and "Mama" on her camera. video

FOOD!

Dillon started eating "solids" this week. He has had organic rice cereal (heavy on the breastmilk) and sweet potatoes (also heavy on the breastmilk). We've only had one serving of sweet potatoes because he broke out in some sort of rash today and we're thinking it might be a reaction to sweet potatoes. We dont' know yet, though. He LOVES the cereal, though! He kicks his legs and opens his mouth for it and "yells" for more! Here are some pics!

Trip to Aunt Lisa's

Dillon and I took a trip to see Aunt Lisa in Dallas last weekend. I was a little nervous about traveling with the baby on my own but we did really great! I did have some problems with all the baby gear but it wasn't too bad. Dillon of course was an angel and didn't even cry on the plane.
We stayed with Aunt Lisa-seen here.

We ate all kinds of bad food (with the calories removed by Aunt Lisa)and sushi (which was fun!)-of course, Dillon is still nursing but he ate what I ate that way!
Dillon had his first experience sitting in a high chair!

We did LOTS of shopping! Dillon did wonderfully and slept and ate and blew rasberries (see Rolling Part 2 video) the whole time and was such a good baby!

We had such a great time and miss Aunt Lisa already! Thanks, Aunt Lisa for such a fun trip!!
